1. How did you first hear about the show?
Searched I-Tunes for Magic the Gathering

2. Do you listen to the music in each episode?
Mostly no.

3. Should we pick a theme and go with it or keep having different music?
See 2

4. How is the sound quality of the show, both the music and the actual show?
Sound is good but I can tollerate alot of bad sound.

5. Is the current episode length (60-75 minutes or so) good, too long, or too short?
More More More. It is actually good but I just want to have more magic content to listen to.

6. What about splitting longer episodes into two parts like Episode 27? Is this a good idea or a bad one?
If it means longer episodes with more content I'm on board.

7. Would “quickie” episodes that are 20-40 minutes in length be a good idea?
Only if they happen more frequently, but better than skipping time.

8. What about number of hosts per show? If there’s only two of us, is it worth listening to? What about when we’re all there – do we seem to get in each other’s way?
Two would be fine. I think you manage the multiple people in different locations well. There is surprisingly little overlap and you do a good job of involving everyone.

9. How do you feel about the length, quality, and depth of the new set preview episodes? Do we spend too long on individual cards? Do you feel like two episodes a week during preview weeks are too much?
I have only heard the Alara ones but it seemed fine.

10. Would you be interested in the development of another fun theme deck, like the Clash deck? Oh yeah, we’ll be touching that one again soon too. We never actually did the Morningtide follow-up, and it bothers me professionally.
Yes I look forward to seeing how JvC will evolve.

11. We once picked a handful of fun rares from a set and went over them. Should we keep doing this? If so, just with new sets or should we go back to old ones too?
Old ones only if you need another topic. I like that approach on the new sets as varried opinions are great to hear.

12. We’ve done a couple of Magic Etiquette segments (what to do about that guy with just one deck, and when are proxies okay). What did you think of that? Should we keep doing etiquette questions when they occur to us, or is this just too silly?
I think that is great because too often people do not think about things like that. It is good to remind the Community how we can propperly interact and solutions that we might be able to use.

13. We’ve done a few tournament reports too (Prereleases, Launch Parties, FNM). Does that interest you at all, or should we skip those?
It interests me. I love good magic stories.

14. We’ve done some episodes that involve the various philosophies of the game that go beyond just playing (Timmy, Johnny, Spike; Aggro, Combo, Control). Does this sort of thing interest you at all, or should we skip those?
Very few things about magic do not interest me. I love me some combo too.

15. We haven’t focused terribly much on the flavor of the game (flavor text, characters in the storyline, the world each set has built). Should we?
Particularly as it applies to themes that might be applied to deck building or the evolution of the block.

16. Episode 15 was the Multiplayer Free-For-All Extravaganza, which means we played lots of games of multiplayer Magic, took notes, and told you all about them. Should we do more things like that in the future? If so, should we limit it to simple multiplayer, or should we branch out into things like Winston Draft picks and games, booster draft picks and games, and new formats or variants?
I love hearing how games play out and interesting senarios. You might try some you make the play type things when there are hard decisions that you faced where you set the scene and the then let the listener decide what the best course of action is before revealing what realy happened.

17. We’ve done several episodes involving tips for new players. Should we keep this up? If so, should we go more into strategy, rules issues, or both?
Both. it is good tobe reminded of the things we needed to learn when we were new so we can better relate to new players. Also there are new players all the time.

18. Out of the Deck Box seems to be a fairly popular segment. Should we keep doing individual decks, or do more like comparing the two Multiplayer Discard decks?
Do not wait for there to need to be multiple decks of an interesting varriety to share cool decks but when there are several for a theme share them all.

19. Pimp My Deckbox (we really need to pick another name for that) does really well on the forums, but we’re usually a little wary of doing this on the show. We don’t want to sound like experts telling people what to put in their decks, especially since we’re not experts and what we suggest you might not have. I’ve been thinking of doing something like this using broader strokes, but I haven’t quite figured it out yet. Do you guys have any suggestions for improvements or special requests for this?
I have heard other podcasts talk about a deck in one episode and get listener feedback and then share that on the next show. on that second show you guys could then share your opinions as well.

20. And finally, let us know anything else you might want to throw out there. Suggestions for any of these segments, suggestions for future episodes, comments, criticisms, whatever you want. We want any and all feedback.
Every once in a while I would like to hear where you guys go to get your magic info. I mostly listen to Podcasts but now have time to read alot more magic sites as well.
Thanks this thead is a great idea.

1. Umm.... I forget.

2. YES

3. Different musik

4. It's fine, no complaints.

5. I like the length. Asking for less is complaining, and asking for more is greedy. :P

6. Keep 'em one, or split 'em, I don't really care.

7. Sure, if there is a reason, like announcing things.

8. I like more people, it's more.... entertaining?

9. They're fine.

10. Yeah, do it. I have some ideas of my own, if you need them.

11. Sounds fun.

12. Yes, I liked those. Not that I despritly need them, but they're helpfull to everyone.

13. Yes.

14. Yes, of course. It's the freakin' metagame.

15. I think you should at least touch on it.

16. I LOVE DRAFTS. Nuff said.

17. Yes, and both.

18. Individual.

19. Umm, not really.

20. Uh, thanks for not persecuting me after I was dead for a year?

1. How did you first hear about the show?
I searched the Podcast section of iTunes for Magic the Gathering

2. Do you listen to the music in each episode?
Yes. Devour by Shinedown has now become one of my favorite songs

3. Should we pick a theme and go with it or keep having different music?
It doesn't really matter to me. You guys seem to have good taste

4. How is the sound quality of the show, both the music and the actual show?
I think it's fine for the most part. Sometimes Mike is a little harder to hear than the rest of you guys though

5. Is the current episode length (60-75 minutes or so) good, too long, or too short?
I love the current length. It's great for long drives or when I'm sitting in traffic. Really gets me through my day sometimes

6. What about splitting longer episodes into two parts like Episode 27? Is this a good idea or a bad one?
I'm really indifferent about that. Honestly it doesn't matter

7. Would “quickie” episodes that are 20-40 minutes in length be a good idea?
I wouldn't necessarily mind them, but the more Mana Pool, the better

8. What about number of hosts per show? If there’s only two of us, is it worth listening to? What about when we’re all there – do we seem to get in each other’s way?
Two's fine, and the ones when only three of you show up are just as good as when all of you are there. You guys are usually really good about interrupting each other and that rarely detracts from the content of the episode

9. How do you feel about the length, quality, and depth of the new set preview episodes? Do we spend too long on individual cards? Do you feel like two episodes a week during preview weeks are too much?
I've listened to most all of those, and they're fine by me. I like how you give ones that have a lot of synergy with certain other cards more time. Spending too much time on cards that are really straightforward almost seems counterproductive in a preview episode

10. Would you be interested in the development of another fun theme deck, like the Clash deck? Oh yeah, we’ll be touching that one again soon too. We never actually did the Morningtide follow-up, and it bothers me professionally.
Yeah. I'm a big fan of theme decks (be they tribal or otherwise) and love hearing about cool new ones.

11. We once picked a handful of fun rares from a set and went over them. Should we keep doing this? If so, just with new sets or should we go back to old ones too?
I love this idea, but having been brought into this game in the newer generation, I would, personally, love to hear about awesome rares from older sets, simply because I have never experienced them for myself.

12. We’ve done a couple of Magic Etiquette segments (what to do about that guy with just one deck, and when are proxies okay). What did you think of that? Should we keep doing etiquette questions when they occur to us, or is this just too silly?
I think that's very important. As someone who tends to play a lot of multiplayer and casual magic, it's good for me to hear (so that I can fix one of my own problems or look out for something I may do in the future) and also to politely correct the others in my playgroup

13. We’ve done a few tournament reports too (Prereleases, Launch Parties, FNM). Does that interest you at all, or should we skip those?
I like those. It interests me because I don't go to too many of those, but I like to here about the experience.

14. We’ve done some episodes that involve the various philosophies of the game that go beyond just playing (Timmy, Johnny, Spike; Aggro, Combo, Control). Does this sort of thing interest you at all, or should we skip those?
I love those. The episode about Timmy, Johnny, and Spike was fantastic and really opened my eyes to how I and others around me play the game.

15. We haven’t focused terribly much on the flavor of the game (flavor text, characters in the storyline, the world each set has built). Should we?
It would a nice thing to touch on. I love the flavor of the game but I would love to hear what you guys think about certain characters or events that happened in the storyline of a certain set or block.

I love hearing about those. I must have listened to each one of those episodes about 5 times now. They're really great stories and I love hearing about them. You could branch out if you want to. I love hearing about certain picks and why you made them. It helps me become a better drafter, and I enjoy hearing about new formats as well.

17. We’ve done several episodes involving tips for new players. Should we keep this up? If so, should we go more into strategy, rules issues, or both?
Yes you should. I'd say both. New players don't really know a lot about what's going on but going over certain rules issues may keep them in the light for the future if they would come across a certain discrepancy. Also, giving them strategy insight would be a tremendous help (I know I wish I had somebody who did that for me when I started).

18. Out of the Deck Box seems to be a fairly popular segment. Should we keep doing individual decks, or do more like comparing the two Multiplayer Discard decks?
Individual decks are fine to report about. When there happen to be similar ones go ahead and compare them.

If someone has an idea, you could pull out a deck of yours that does what they want in a similar way. And don't be afraid to suggest cards. Regardless of whether the person has the card or not, there are always functional reprints or similar cards to substitute for something else.

20. And finally, let us know anything else you might want to throw out there. Suggestions for any of these segments, suggestions for future episodes, comments, criticisms, whatever you want. We want any and all feedback.
Honestly, I'm just glad you guys are giving the common Magic man a voice. So many podcasts these days are geared towards playing competitively and what the best decks are, but you guys take it back to the core of the game: having as much fun as you can with this wonderful hobby. Thanks for keeping it real (haha)

1. How did you first hear about the show?
I am extremely bored at work so I find absolutely anything to distract my mind from the minuteness work I do for a lively. And I recently started using cardshark and saw your ad.

2. Do you listen to the music in each episode?
Like I said, since my job sucks. yes I listen to every second of every podcast.... sometimes more then once.

3. Should we pick a theme and go with it or keep having different music?
A theme wouldn't be bad. However, it really won't affect whether I listen or not.

4. How is the sound quality of the show, both the music and the actual show?
Sounds Fine to me!

5. Is the current episode length (60-75 minutes or so) good, too long, or too short?
Honestly, it all depends on the episode. If its a boring one (which I haven't heard one yet) then short! :) If its funny as all hell (like most) the longer the better. I have an 8 hour shift in which I have to keep my mind from going utterly out of control.

6. What about splitting longer episodes into two parts like Episode 27? Is this a good idea or a bad one?
As long as it comes out at the same time, wouldn't bother me.

7. Would “quickie” episodes that are 20-40 minutes in length be a good idea?
I prefer longer, but if they were frequent or between normal ones (like quickies usually are) then more power to you!

8. What about number of hosts per show? If there’s only two of us, is it worth listening to? What about when we’re all there – do we seem to get in each other’s way?
Atleast 2! But I think the more of you there are the more random stuff that comes up and the funnier it gets. Something needs to make me smile at work. (If you can't tell I really don't care for my job)

9. How do you feel about the length, quality, and depth of the new set preview episodes? Do we spend too long on individual cards? Do you feel like two episodes a week during preview weeks are too much?
Once again I got A LOT of free time to listen to you guys. So more episodes or the longer they are the better. Listening to podcast makes for more productive time wasted rather then talking with some of my coworkers. "Hey Rubiks (my nickname), what's up man? Want to buy some green?" /ignore

10. Would you be interested in the development of another fun theme deck, like the Clash deck? Oh yeah, we’ll be touching that one again soon too. We never actually did the Morningtide follow-up, and it bothers me professionally.
Haven't been listening long enough to know wtf this is about.

11. We once picked a handful of fun rares from a set and went over them. Should we keep doing this? If so, just with new sets or should we go back to old ones too?
Sure

12. We’ve done a couple of Magic Etiquette segments (what to do about that guy with just one deck, and when are proxies okay). What did you think of that? Should we keep doing etiquette questions when they occur to us, or is this just too silly?
That would be nice seeing as I'm a newer player and get nervous about some of these things.

13. We’ve done a few tournament reports too (Prereleases, Launch Parties, FNM). Does that interest you at all, or should we skip those?
Whatever gets new podcast out man, go for it!

14. We’ve done some episodes that involve the various philosophies of the game that go beyond just playing (Timmy, Johnny, Spike; Aggro, Combo, Control). Does this sort of thing interest you at all, or should we skip those?
Interested

15. We haven’t focused terribly much on the flavor of the game (flavor text, characters in the storyline, the world each set has built). Should we?
Sure, could be fun

What? I wonder if you've read this far down or just got annoyed with my answers and pop shots at my boring insignificant job. By the way, I'm a Plastic Molding Engineer in case you're wondering.

17. We’ve done several episodes involving tips for new players. Should we keep this up? If so, should we go more into strategy, rules issues, or both?
BOTH

18. Out of the Deck Box seems to be a fairly popular segment. Should we keep doing individual decks, or do more like comparing the two Multiplayer Discard decks?
Doesn't matter, just like hearing about random decks.

Please Mana Pool! PIMP MY DECKBOX!

20. And finally, let us know anything else you might want to throw out there. Suggestions for any of these segments, suggestions for future episodes, comments, criticisms, whatever you want. We want any and all feedback.
I swear I get the BIGGEST kick out of "ohh I'll go back and edit all this out later" "no you won't" "probably not"! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Now off to spam the rest of your forums! /forum troll FTW!
You can't argue with all of the fools in the world. It's easier to let them have their way, then trick them when they're not paying attention.

1. How did you first hear about the show? Random i-tunes searching.

2. Do you listen to the music in each episode? Yes

3. Should we pick a theme and go with it or keep having different music? Different music, randomness is the spice of life.

4. How is the sound quality of the show, both the music and the actual show? Fine

5. Is the current episode length (60-75 minutes or so) good, too long, or too short? TOO SHORT the longer, the Magicier, the better

6. What about splitting longer episodes into two parts like Episode 27? Is this a good idea or a bad one? Bad

7. Would “quickie” episodes that are 20-40 minutes in length be a good idea? Depends on the subject, but for now ill say no.

8. What about number of hosts per show? If there’s only two of us, is it worth listening to? What about when we’re all there – do we seem to get in each other’s way? The more the merrier.

9. How do you feel about the length, quality, and depth of the new set preview episodes? Do we spend too long on individual cards? Do you feel like two episodes a week during preview weeks are too much? I love the preview episodes.

10. Would you be interested in the development of another fun theme deck, like the Clash deck? Oh yeah, we’ll be touching that one again soon too. We never actually did the Morningtide follow-up, and it bothers me professionally. Yes

11. We once picked a handful of fun rares from a set and went over them. Should we keep doing this? If so, just with new sets or should we go back to old ones too? A bit of both. (Maybe some random card searches from gatherer as well would be cool)

12. We’ve done a couple of Magic Etiquette segments (what to do about that guy with just one deck, and when are proxies okay). What did you think of that? Should we keep doing etiquette questions when they occur to us, or is this just too silly? Every once in a while is cool.

13. We’ve done a few tournament reports too (Prereleases, Launch Parties, FNM). Does that interest you at all, or should we skip those? Skip them.

14. We’ve done some episodes that involve the various philosophies of the game that go beyond just playing (Timmy, Johnny, Spike; Aggro, Combo, Control). Does this sort of thing interest you at all, or should we skip those? These rock.

15. We haven’t focused terribly much on the flavor of the game (flavor text, characters in the storyline, the world each set has built). Should we? Ya.

Branch out.

17. We’ve done several episodes involving tips for new players. Should we keep this up? If so, should we go more into strategy, rules issues, or both? Yes and both.

18. Out of the Deck Box seems to be a fairly popular segment. Should we keep doing individual decks, or do more like comparing the two Multiplayer Discard decks? Comparing

Maybe just pick a deck theme or idea that has been requested alot and each just give a few ideas of what cards you think should go in and why.

20. And finally, let us know anything else you might want to throw out there. Suggestions for any of these segments, suggestions for future episodes, comments, criticisms, whatever you want. We want any and all feedback. Keep it up.

1. How did you first hear about the show?
MTG Cast

2. Do you listen to the music in each episode?
Yes, and I really like Swift.

3. Should we pick a theme and go with it or keep having different music?
Different music, it lets me hear things that I wouldn't normally find.

4. How is the sound quality of the show, both the music and the actual show?
Pretty good, and the occasional tech problems add to the flavor of the show.

5. Is the current episode length (60-75 minutes or so) good, too long, or too short?
Too short.

6. What about splitting longer episodes into two parts like Episode 27? Is this a good idea or a bad one?
It really doesn't matter to me.

7. Would “quickie” episodes that are 20-40 minutes in length be a good idea?
They work during preview weeks but other than that I like the longer shows.

8. What about number of hosts per show? If there’s only two of us, is it worth listening to? What about when we’re all there – do we seem to get in each other’s way?
I think 2 hosts every now and then is still okay, episode 83 was an different and interesting, But on the whole the real chemistry comes with the more hosts.

9. How do you feel about the length, quality, and depth of the new set preview episodes? Do we spend too long on individual cards? Do you feel like two episodes a week during preview weeks are too much?
Previews are probably my least favorites, I think because every cast is doing them, but there isn't really any way around them. I think they are working at there current state.

10. Would you be interested in the development of another fun theme deck, like the Clash deck? Oh yeah, we’ll be touching that one again soon too. We never actually did the Morningtide follow-up, and it bothers me professionally.
Yes.

11. We once picked a handful of fun rares from a set and went over them. Should we keep doing this? If so, just with new sets or should we go back to old ones too?
Either or would be good.

12. We’ve done a couple of Magic Etiquette segments (what to do about that guy with just one deck, and when are proxies okay). What did you think of that? Should we keep doing etiquette questions when they occur to us, or is this just too silly?
I think when they come up, but don't force them in the show.

13. We’ve done a few tournament reports too (Prereleases, Launch Parties, FNM). Does that interest you at all, or should we skip those?
I think they work, I think the diversity of topics is what keeps me listening the most.

14. We’ve done some episodes that involve the various philosophies of the game that go beyond just playing (Timmy, Johnny, Spike; Aggro, Combo, Control). Does this sort of thing interest you at all, or should we skip those?
Magic is a lot of things, I think that they have to show up every now and then.

15. We haven’t focused terribly much on the flavor of the game (flavor text, characters in the storyline, the world each set has built). Should we?
I love the flavor and like when it is focused on. The Shards flavor episode bothered me a little because I had already read the Planeswalker's Guide and there was a lot of info in it that was not touched on or misinterpreted. If you guys can, check it out, there will be one for Zendicar and every set on for that matter (according to the book release schedule they release a while ago, It's a lot of flavor and great art (both concept and final) and comes out before the set release I think, the shards one did anyway.

I think a variant episode would be cool, give an overview of how to play the format and then show examples from games payed.

17. We’ve done several episodes involving tips for new players. Should we keep this up? If so, should we go more into strategy, rules issues, or both?
Both, I honestly liked the explanation of Banding because I didn't play back then and didn't know exactly how it worked. I'd like looking at older or the way things where rule/issues to show how things evolved and why they are better now for it.

18. Out of the Deck Box seems to be a fairly popular segment. Should we keep doing individual decks, or do more like comparing the two Multiplayer Discard decks?
I like the deck comparing segments better.

I think a cool segment to do that would get everyone involved could be a build a deck by poll kind of thing. You guys pick for example 5 themes and discus them in a quick segment on the show, then in the forums people get to vote, and and so on, then there is fun discussion for the show and the forums, especially when it gets down to cutting the final cards. Then test the deck in a multiplayer episode. It could be way more of an effort then it's worth, just a thought.

20. And finally, let us know anything else you might want to throw out there. Suggestions for any of these segments, suggestions for future episodes, comments, criticisms, whatever you want. We want any and all feedback.
See 19 and keep up the good work, I'm always entertained.

1. mtgcast

2. no

3. different

4. no issues

5.good

6. Good idea, because sometimes it's easier to listener to go at things slowly

7. Depends on what you are talking about

8. Host numbers are not important as long as everyone gets a say in what is happening

9. Always good to get as much info on new cards and sets as you can get to make informed decisions

10. Theme decks are always interesting to know about

11. A lot of people don't have restrictions of card play, which leads to the ability to play rares that aren't standard

12. When users ask why not

13. The releases and tournies you go to are always good to insight from

14. It's good to know what level you are at, based on how you play

15. No, other places do that through articles

16. A little of everything

17. More strategy

18. Individual decks

19. Review decks you believe can work with the current format you are discussing

20. And finally, let us know anything else you might want to throw out there. Suggestions for any of these segments, suggestions for future episodes, comments, criticisms, whatever you want. We want any and all feedback.

1. I typed in Magic: the Gathering into I-tunes.

2. Mostly no. I just don't like the sort of music you guys do.

3. I guess so

4. It sound fine.

5. The more the better. I'd listen to a 4 hour episode.

6. No splitting necessary.

7. If you managed to do them 3-4 times a week.

8. I'd listen if there was one of you but no more then four because you do seem to get in eachothers way. but not so much to have less then four.

9. You guys do a good job at preveiwing cards even if it is viewed at from a multiplayer point of view. One episode a week is fine but if there was two I would listen.

10. I love theme decks so anotherone would be fun to make.

11. I like the goofy cards in all the sets so having someone else find them for me would be great.

12. Yeah, I guess.

13. I don't always get to go so knowing what people are looking for and what goes well with what would be great.

14. I like every type of deck as long as its interesting.

15. I do get into the flavour a bit so going over the little worlds of the colors so would interest me.

16. Playing games over the podcasts is great because it gives me ideas and tips.

17. There are plenty of rules podcasts. I listen to you guys becouse your casual.

18. Indavidual decks being looked ove is a little easier to follow.

19. Any ideas are good ideas.

20. Keep doing what your doing. But I do like a pretty good go through of new sets.

1. I found it somehow on itunes

2. Yeah im not going to fast foward and miss any start of the discussion.

3. It would be cool to have random music on there like in podcast 86 that was funny.

4. sometimes it's hard to understand a few of you guys not on every episode but every once in a while

5. however long you guys can make it is fine with me cause i listen to the cast when im doing work around the house or driving to work

6. i would be fine with it

7. im not picky

8. as long as there is more then one for interaction reasons, the more the merrier

9. i think its fine, i think more than 15-20 min on a card is too much unless there is conflict of understanding involved.

10. that would be cool

11. i think both would be good for everyone for the new players to get try to get a feel for the extended or vintage play and for us old schoolers to reminise about old card we used to own

12. that sounds fine to me

13. yes it does interest me and it would be cool if you guys continued doing it

14. yes cause some of this stuff i never really knew about due to my limited circle of players

15. yeah its a cool part to listen to to know some of the history of the card and what made them think of certian cards that didnt make sense at the time

16. havent heard that one yet but that would be cool..im interested in all aspects of the game

17. you should continue doing that due to the fact that more ppl will be running into your casts and some could be new ppl that are still learning stuff and you can never know to many rules

18. i like that idea and maybe you could involve 2 headed giant and maybe EDH aswell?

19. i have no problem with wither you continue it or not

20. im pretty satisfied with the show so at this time i have no suggestions

Surveys are fun!!

1. Through the AvantCardShow, they're the best

2. No, I listened to it in one and didn't like the song, since then I have had little faith that I would like the music in future episodes.

3. You guys should hae good music! :D Like Claire's Corner!

4. Good

5. It's good, though you guys normally run longer, then I get bored, and listen to the rest later. It's kinda nice to have it long though to split it up throughout the week.

6. Depends on how much you guys have to say on a topic.

7. Who doesn't like a quickie?

8. More hosts the better, that way we can determine the hostist with the mostist. Though that does mean you'll have to listen to yourself talk less chewie, awwwww

9. Good, Sometimes, No, respectively... keep up boys!

10. Fun theme deck...... like a cutie pie deck?

11. Rares = Joy = Christmas, therefore, if you go over rares, you're really just promoting Christmas.

12. No, many people don't have manners, and it is equally sad as it is insulting.

13. Tournament stuff is fun.

... God is this over yet?! ...

14. Philosphies are fun.

15. I like the story, almost something that'd be fun to do in the corner, hey thanks for the idea!

16. Play-by-play from other games is boring after the fact, multiplayer is fun though.

17. You can stop giving tips for new players when there ceases to be new players.

18. Individual!

19. Pimp My Deckbox is the best name eveah! Why not keep it on the show? And if someone gives you their deck to poke then you should poke, not poking when invited to is rude!

20. You should hae that Claire girl from the Avant card show on your podcast, she is SO cool.

1. How did you first hear about the show?
It think I read about it on the mtgcast website or in the mtgcast network iTunes feed.

2. Do you listen to the music in each episode?
I just press play and listen to the whole thing. I like the music, but I wouldn't really miss it, I think

3. Should we pick a theme and go with it or keep having different music?
Do what you like, I don't have anything to complain so far.

4. How is the sound quality of the show, both the music and the actual show?
It's ok, could be a bit better. But because the shows are pretty long, size could become a problem on your part. I wouldn't mind for a better quality file, but it's ok right now.

5. Is the current episode length (60-75 minutes or so) good, too long, or too short?
The last one was 2,5 hours, I don't mind at all!

6. What about splitting longer episodes into two parts like Episode 27? Is this a good idea or a bad one?
One file is fine with me, keeps it organized.

7. Would “quickie” episodes that are 20-40 minutes in length be a good idea?
Sure, when you want to release some quick news, maybe when there are some spoilers to be anounced?

8. What about number of hosts per show? If there’s only two of us, is it worth listening to? What about when we’re all there – do we seem to get in each other’s way?
Minimum is two, four seems to be the maximum, else you get a lot of skype-lag-interuptions like "no, you go", "what? you go".
Then again, currently I don't have any problems with the current format of the podcast.

9. How do you feel about the length, quality, and depth of the new set preview episodes? Do we spend too long on individual cards? Do you feel like two episodes a week during preview weeks are too much?
To me it's more interesting if the possibilities of a new card would be discussed, what kind of deck would it fit in to, combo's, that kind of stuff. Don't spend too much time discussing what the card should have been like or think of alternate versions of the new spoiled card.

10. Would you be interested in the development of another fun theme deck, like the Clash deck? Oh yeah, we’ll be touching that one again soon too. We never actually did the Morningtide follow-up, and it bothers me professionally.
Ahh, development of casual decks seems like a great idea to me.

11. We once picked a handful of fun rares from a set and went over them. Should we keep doing this? If so, just with new sets or should we go back to old ones too?
It would be a nice idea to create a deck or decks with these fun/crap rares. This is - for me - the essence of casual magic. Suprise your friends with a cool deck with the crappiest/strangest cards from a set.

12. We’ve done a couple of Magic Etiquette segments (what to do about that guy with just one deck, and when are proxies okay). What did you think of that? Should we keep doing etiquette questions when they occur to us, or is this just too silly?
It's ok from time to time.

13. We’ve done a few tournament reports too (Prereleases, Launch Parties, FNM). Does that interest you at all, or should we skip those?
It's not that interesting for me. I prefer more talk about cool situations that occurred or cool casual decks.

14. We’ve done some episodes that involve the various philosophies of the game that go beyond just playing (Timmy, Johnny, Spike; Aggro, Combo, Control). Does this sort of thing interest you at all, or should we skip those?
I don't mind.

15. We haven’t focused terribly much on the flavor of the game (flavor text, characters in the storyline, the world each set has built). Should we?
Nah, don't focus on it. But when a funny flavor text pops up, why not share it.

I think talking about a game is very difficult but you don't have any visual aids in a podcast. So talking about draft picks will be tedious because you have to read all cards, all the time. Talking about games could be fun, but I would focus on the cool plays that were made and not on all the plays.

17. We’ve done several episodes involving tips for new players. Should we keep this up? If so, should we go more into strategy, rules issues, or both?
Sure, tips and strategy talks are always welcome.

18. Out of the Deck Box seems to be a fairly popular segment. Should we keep doing individual decks, or do more like comparing the two Multiplayer Discard decks?
Any talk about decks is fine with me.

You could do something like the 'building on a budget' column. Focussing on one deck a week and explaining that deck. Listeners can get involved making suggestions for the deck.

20. And finally, let us know anything else you might want to throw out there. Suggestions for any of these segments, suggestions for future episodes, comments, criticisms, whatever you want. We want any and all feedback.
I think this survey covered most of it :) When I think of something, i'll let you know. Maybe your website could use some work, you can contact me for that if you want.

Oh btw, I'm from the Netherlands so please understand that English is not my native language ;)

1. How did you first hear about the show?
I pretty much searched it up in iTunes

2. Do you listen to the music in each episode?
Sure thing!

3. Should we pick a theme and go with it or keep having different music?
I like variety, though having a theme makes it easier for you to make the episodes, and breaks them up better.

4. How is the sound quality of the show, both the music and the actual show?
Very good, especially for a single-recording Skypecast. With the exception of Mike's perpetually low levels (or is he really just that quiet?), you would think it was recorded in the same room most of the time.

5. Is the current episode length (60-75 minutes or so) good, too long, or too short?
Just about right. I don't mind longer shows, but 60-75 minutes is the sweet spot for podcasts in my opinion.

6. What about splitting longer episodes into two parts like Episode 27? Is this a good idea or a bad one?
Haven't gotten that far back, but I would only do that if the shows are over three hours long.

7. Would “quickie” episodes that are 20-40 minutes in length be a good idea?
I would welcome them especially if you can't get a full show in that week, it's better than nothing, or in between shows as bonus episodes.

8. What about number of hosts per show? If there’s only two of us, is it worth listening to? What about when we’re all there – do we seem to get in each other’s way?
The more the merrier! But even if it's just one of you talking in to a mike, the show is really good to listen to.

9. How do you feel about the length, quality, and depth of the new set preview episodes? Do we spend too long on individual cards? Do you feel like two episodes a week during preview weeks are too much?
I love your take on the new cards, the amount of content is welcome and help me to get excited for new sets.

10. Would you be interested in the development of another fun theme deck, like the Clash deck? Oh yeah, we’ll be touching that one again soon too. We never actually did the Morningtide follow-up, and it bothers me professionally.
I'm not sure what this refers to, but if it's anything like the Duel Deck Deconstruction, I really enjoy that.

11. We once picked a handful of fun rares from a set and went over them. Should we keep doing this? If so, just with new sets or should we go back to old ones too?
I like that, especially the Binder Pull episodes.

12. We’ve done a couple of Magic Etiquette segments (what to do about that guy with just one deck, and when are proxies okay). What did you think of that? Should we keep doing etiquette questions when they occur to us, or is this just too silly?
Please, I'm socially awkward enough without having to worry about having wrong etiquette as well, so please educate me to help me avoid any potential faux pas!

13. We’ve done a few tournament reports too (Prereleases, Launch Parties, FNM). Does that interest you at all, or should we skip those?
I'm interested, but I think they could be truncated a bit more. It can be hard to follow the play by play, and I'd rather hear an overview of who you faced and how you did.

14. We’ve done some episodes that involve the various philosophies of the game that go beyond just playing (Timmy, Johnny, Spike; Aggro, Combo, Control). Does this sort of thing interest you at all, or should we skip those?
I haven't heard them yet, but sounds like a good idea.

15. We haven’t focused terribly much on the flavor of the game (flavor text, characters in the storyline, the world each set has built). Should we?
I don't really care all too much about the flavor. I'm more of a mechanics guy, I'll admit.

Sounds good, the ones I've heard have been entertaining.

17. We’ve done several episodes involving tips for new players. Should we keep this up? If so, should we go more into strategy, rules issues, or both?
All of the above!

18. Out of the Deck Box seems to be a fairly popular segment. Should we keep doing individual decks, or do more like comparing the two Multiplayer Discard decks?
I like hearing about deckbuilding, as it's my personal weak spot.

How about collect input from the forum, and then talk about people's different takes on the decks.

20. And finally, let us know anything else you might want to throw out there. Suggestions for any of these segments, suggestions for future episodes, comments, criticisms, whatever you want. We want any and all feedback.
Keep up the good work! You have quickly risen to the top of my overflowing podcast listening list, and I've even started listening to back episodes, which is something I hardly ever do. It wouldn't hurt to put out a new promo that I could play on my show, to help get the word out.

1. How did you first hear about the show?
Through my friend Aria.

2. Do you listen to the music in each episode?
I don't skip it??

3. Should we pick a theme and go with it or keep having different music?
Boootthhh?

4. How is the sound quality of the show, both the music and the actual show?
Mostly pretty solid except for Mike(? the guy that keeps falling asleep? Dirk? Brian? Chewie?? I'm sorry I'm so bad!). Whoever it is has gotta speak up!

5. Is the current episode length (60-75 minutes or so) good, too long, or too short?
Sometimes it's a little long but, I don't mind it.

6. What about splitting longer episodes into two parts like Episode 27? Is this a good idea or a bad one?
ahhh, keep the family together.

7. Would “quickie” episodes that are 20-40 minutes in length be a good idea?
I think for some rules refreshers, or rules clarifications, or something, that could work. Like a GI JOE PSA or something?

8. What about number of hosts per show? If there’s only two of us, is it worth listening to? What about when we’re all there – do we seem to get in each other’s way?
I think the dynamic works just fine.

9. How do you feel about the length, quality, and depth of the new set preview episodes? Do we spend too long on individual cards? Do you feel like two episodes a week during preview weeks are too much?
When previews come out, I think the fast a show gets done going through them the better! Sometimes I don't even get to them until I've played the pre-release! That might be my bad, though.

10. Would you be interested in the development of another fun theme deck, like the Clash deck? Oh yeah, we’ll be touching that one again soon too. We never actually did the Morningtide follow-up, and it bothers me professionally.
YEAH!

11. We once picked a handful of fun rares from a set and went over them. Should we keep doing this? If so, just with new sets or should we go back to old ones too?
YES! Also shitty rares that are fun! Or fun rares that are shitty!

12. We’ve done a couple of Magic Etiquette segments (what to do about that guy with just one deck, and when are proxies okay). What did you think of that? Should we keep doing etiquette questions when they occur to us, or is this just too silly?
I think they could be fun but, like, I don't care if someone proxies everything (unless it's a black lotus or something) but, I bet other people hate it. I guess those things can be a case by case basis, you know?

13. We’ve done a few tournament reports too (Prereleases, Launch Parties, FNM). Does that interest you at all, or should we skip those?
I love to hear how other people's times went!

14. We’ve done some episodes that involve the various philosophies of the game that go beyond just playing (Timmy, Johnny, Spike; Aggro, Combo, Control). Does this sort of thing interest you at all, or should we skip those?
go for it! I wanna know it all!

15. We haven’t focused terribly much on the flavor of the game (flavor text, characters in the storyline, the world each set has built). Should we?
A little, yeah! Flavor is delicious!

16. Episode 15 was the Multiplayer Free-For-All Extravaganza, which means we played lots of games of multiplayer Magic, took notes, and told you all about them. Should we do more things like that in the future? If so, should we limit it to simple multiplayer, or should we branch out into things like Winston Draft picks and games, booster draft picks and games, and new formats or variants?
sure?

17. We’ve done several episodes involving tips for new players. Should we keep this up? If so, should we go more into strategy, rules issues, or both?
I think as long as it's billed as such, do tons of them! New players can just go through the itunes list and pick out all the beginners stuff, right?

18. Out of the Deck Box seems to be a fairly popular segment. Should we keep doing individual decks, or do more like comparing the two Multiplayer Discard decks?
I think comparing multiple styles of accomplishing the same goal, explains a lot about the game for both new and old players and I think it's a great idea.

19. Pimp My Deckbox (we really need to pick another name for that) does really well on the forums, but we’re usually a little wary of doing this on the show. We don’t want to sound like experts telling people what to put in their decks, especially since we’re not experts and what we suggest you might not have.
