Show ideas

If anyone has anything they'd like to recommend for future episodes, then let us know here! If there's anything you'd like to hear about, or think we should discuss, or think the Magic public in general needs to know about, then hit us with it.

This includes my fellow host-dorks so we'll have a record of all our ideas so we don't forget. We're all pretty bad about forgetting stuff.

*Philosophy Face-Off: Aggro vs Counter?

*Who can make the best Lord of The Rings theme deck?

*JENGA! Stack these enchantments up and pwn your opponent. Or, when it doesnt work, just watch it all fall down.

*Noob's revenge! Chewie totally pwn'd Squanto and his Clash deck with an evil suspend deck of epic proportions. Watch as Squanto tests his answer to Chewie's suspend deck, and the guys suggest some tweaks to help a noob exact cold revenge. Hint, RIFTSWEEPER!

Few things in progress. Gonna have to get togther soon so I can do some building.[/b]

Maybe only submissions on the forums would be accepted, to make more people use them!

Here's an idea that accidentally got posted elsewhere. Personally, I like the idea of contests, but I'd rather wait on this until we get the feel for doing the show on a regular basis and until we get a larger listener base. But it is an idea that I included when I originally pitched the show to the bosses at Cardshark. Thanks Piro!

a good idea would be to ask what other games people play who also play magic- I myself LOVE to play Fluxx and now Zombie Fluxx between rounds of a draft and if you have to scoop a game no one usually will get upset because they will never know if they were going to win anyway. Lunch money is always fun too but much longer to play.

Oh, wow. I think I still have my little pack of Fluxx in my game bag (the one I keep my Magic stuff in). It's been way too long since I sat down and played that.

Also, several weeks ago when I was taking a sabbatical back at the house, I sat and rebuilt my Mythos decks. It's really too bad that game was so complicated, otherwise I probably would have gotten to play it more.

Yup, we're gonna do those preview cards in the next episode. They've added a new one since the last time I looked, too.

Morningtide Prerelease! January 19 & 20. Here's the link:

i like what you guys are doing and i like the humor =) Cardshark is pretty sweet and im going to start buyin cards from there to build decks. Yeah, i like to hear about different deck builds. Personally i like it when you guys go off discussing a certain card in a deck but just make sure finish listing the rest of the cards after you are dont with that one card. Maybe you guys could post decklists someowhere that you talk about on the podcast so that will eliminate problems with people wanting the list (if you dont already that is).

I like the preview for new sets such as morningtide. I dont know wat else to say, i just recently got into Magic and i like what you guys are doing. I get this podcast and i also listen to ManaNation. I like how everyone has different takes on certain cards and decks and it makes things interesting. I also appreciate the humor that you guys have. Sometimes i'll just crack up laughing. Thanks for the podcast =)

Well, now I guess I won't feel so self-conscious about some of the idiot things I say. I can imagine they're bringing joy to some of the people out there in the audience.

Yo wolfstalker, thanks for the props. I know I always get the giggles while we're doing the show, but that's mainly because I enjoy tormenting my cohosts. Like Mike said, I'm glad you're enjoying our random silliness, because it seems like the more we do this the more comfortable we get with it and the sillier we get. Within reason, of course. And it's really late and I've been playing COD4 all night, so I'ma go to bed. Thanks again for the encouragement!

We usually post a decklist in the show notes, if we have built a certain deck for the show, like we did for the Clash deck, and the forthcoming Lord of The Rings decks.

However, I think it would be a good idea to post some of the random cards that we discuss in the show. You know, when one of you guru's is like "This would work really well with THIS" and Chewie says "Oh yeah!"
I would suggest this format:

Notable cards in this episode:
Epochrasite
Boggart Loggers
Empty The Warrens

And so forth. Whatcha think?

Hmmm...that would delay the posting of each episode even more while I try to figure out what cards were actually notable enough to include in the notes. But if you guys like the idea, I can try to jot them down as we record and that would be much less silly. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Actually, I can volunteer for this. Ill jot down the cards we spend more than a minute on, and cards that I find interesting. Then, after I leave your place I can string the links together and Gmail it all to you to add to the show notes. Shouldnt take me more than half an hour, Id like to keep the list at ten cards or less.

Oh, and I was able to add the show's RSS feed to my PSP and listen to it. So dont forget that you guys can listen to the show on darn near anything that will play an MP3.
